Fire

Fortunately I escaped from a raging fire a few miles from my home in the Sierras. When I looked back up at the ridge at evacuation time, this scene imprinted on my mind. After the fire and all homes were safe to return, I painted it in my studio. I feel deep gratitude to
firemen who came from several states and bivuaced down below in the old
sawmill site at SouthFork.
